A large and impressive Poole Pottery modernist Studio Pottery charger decorated with a stylized sunburst and seedpod design by renowned potter Guy Sydenham (British, 1916-2005) and dating from the 1960’s. This stunning large round hand thrown stoneware charger has a slightly raised rim and is hand decorated with colored slip glazes on an unglazed natural brown clay ground with a central seed pod design with a series of sunburst patterning around the edge. The charger has a salt glazed base and is impressed Poole Pottery with an incised artist monogram mark for Guy Sydenham.
