From a very large collection of 20th and 21st century Studio Pottery we offer this large and stylish Studio Pottery streak tenmoku colored glaze lidded ewer by Elsa Benattar and believed to date from the late 20th or early 21st century. This finely made stoneware bottled shaped ewer stands on a narrow rounded base with a wide rounded body with a tall conical shaped neck with a narrow top with a rounded open top with large pouring spout fitted with a weighted simple rounded cover. The ewer is decorated with streaked tenmoku style glazes to the neck with blacks and browns with elements of yellow run down the neck and similarly decorated to the cover on a reddy brown ground with the lower body combining red and brown glazes. A small rounded makers lozenge applied to the body has an impressed EB makers monogram for Elsa Benattar.
