Dimensions:
A rare and stylish studio pottery stoneware organic form titled Cluster by acclaimed English ceramicist Eileen Lewenstein and made in the 1970's and was potted in Hampstead in London. The sculptural piece is of oval shape and comprises of tightly compressed conical apertures decorated in shades of brown and green and stand on a small flat unglazed base. There is an old paper label and possible indistinct mark. Accompanied by a hand written and signed card from Eileen discussing the piece with the person who acquired it from Bonhams.
Provenance: Acquired from Bonhams Knightsbridge, Contemporary Ceramics Including 'The St Ives Tradition', 14th November 2000, Lot 219 and thence in a private West Country collection. Card written by Eileen Lewenstein on October 8th, 2001 discussing the piece with both the catalogue extract and card included with this piece.
