An impressive and large pair Chinese Qing Kangxi mark blue and white vases painted with panels with birds and figures and dating from the 19th century. These tall bulbous shaped porcelain vases stand on a rounded unglazed foot with recessed bases with a skirted edge with a gradually widening rounded body and and simple narrow funnel shaped top. The vases are decorated with two panels containing figures with a tree lined landscape set between two further panels with birds landing on flowering prunus on
a rock face. The panels have simple borders and are set within a hawthorn flower surround with alternate floral borders painted around the top and lower edges of the vases. Both vases are painted with underglaze blue Kangxi four character marks to the base but believed to date from the 19th century.
In very good condition with minimal wear.
