A stylish and decorative pair Aesthetic Movement Doulton Lambeth stoneware vases decorated with stylized floral designs by renowned artist Frank A Butler and dated 1882. The bottle shaped vases stand on a narrow round pedestal foot with cylindrical bodies and with narrow necks and bowl shaped tops. The vases are decorated with raised florets set against a formalised stylized leaf ground set within shaped panels with raised beadwork borders above and below. With stylized leaf designs with fine beaded patterning incised around the lower edge with similar longer designs applied around the neck. The vase is decorated in tones of blue and brown and both have impressed Doulton Lambeth marks to the base along with incised monograms for Frank A Butler. The vases have various incised and impressed assistant marks including Frances Clements, Lottie Eckenstein, Ada Maycock and Georgina White. The vases are also dated 1882.

Provenance: from the private collection of a Belgian Gentleman.

In good condition with natural underglaze firing losses to some of the beaded designs.
