Dimensions:
A scarce antique English, possibly Yorkshire or Sunderland lustre pearlware pottery cream jug decorated with the words FORGET ME NOT dating from around 1820-30. The small and lightly potted jug is of rounded bulbous shape standing raised on a narrow round foot with a loop handle to one side and a narrow top rim with a large shaped pouring spout. The body of the jug is black printed with a floral wreath which has been hand painted with colored enamels with the words FORGET ME NOT printed to the centre. The jug has a pink lustre decorated top rim with simple splashes of pink lustre applied to the body and handle. The jug is typically not marked.
In good used condition with minimal wear.
English, possibly Yorkshire or Sunderland although not marked.
