A fine antique continental majolica pottery twin handled planter decorated with floral blooms and attributed to Eichwald and dating from the 19th century. The planter is lightly potted standing raised on molded leaf foot with a long narrow boat shaped body applied in low relief with trailing stems and large floral designs. Two stems form handles to either end with large floral terminals. The planter is painted in tones of light green, pink and yellow on a dark green ground with green painted leaves to the foot. The inner planter and base are decorated in cream colored glazes and the planter has elements of gilding. The planter has an impressed E mark to the base and is numbered 3763.

Provenance: Acquired from the British Art Market.

In good condition with light wear associated with age and use.
