A very stylish Jugendstil pair German copper and brass vases by renowned makers WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) and dating from around 1900. The tall and elegantly shaped vases have copper bodies standing raised on narrow pinched bases with a wider round lower body of tall funnel shape narrowing to simple round opening. Large scrolling brass handles with ornate terminals are riveted to either side and the body of the vase is decorated in relief to two sides with tall fruiting grasses. Both vases have impressed running stork marks to the bases and probably an early example. An impressive pair of early vases in typical Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) style.
