An unusual English late Victorian antique presentation silver plated tree trunk shaped cigar or cheroot stand with cutter dating from 1889. The stand is mounted on a rounded hardwood base with a name plaque attached to the front edge and is modeled as a tree trunk with a side stem probably to hold a lighter or similar with the main body with a deep recess and with a narrow side stem with a sprung cheroot or cigar cutter. The stand has a good quality finish and is well detailed imitating the bark on a tree. The stand is not marked however does have a registration number 121328 dating the piece to 1889. There is an old dealers price label to the base.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use.
