Large Persian Islamic styled hand painted floral pottery vase dating from the 19th century. The large earthenware vase is of rounded bulbous shape standing on a narrow unglazed foot rim. The body is hand painted in tones of blue, green and brown with natural glazed elements with scrolling floral stems and stylized floral designs set against blue and green grounds. With simple patterned borders around the top and foot the vase has a salt glazed finish and is not marked.
In good condition with age crazing and customary glaze defects as are common with these types of pieces.
