A deligthful antique Japanese Kutani porcelain figure of a drummer boy dating from the Meiji period 1868 to 1912. The figure is well modeled a long ornate jacket richly painted with floral designs in blues, reds and greens on a white ground and embellished with gilding. The boy wears green patterned trousers and black shoes and plays a large drum. He has painted facial features and the figure is not marked.

In good original condition with some minor gilding wear.
