A fine quality Chinese Qing porcelain brush pot with wooden stand hand painted with children and lady and with Zhuanshu script mark to the base dating from the 19th century. The brush pot of cylindrical shape stands on an unglazed foot with a slightly recessed base with a wide flat top rim. The pot is lightly potted and hand painted with a fenced landscape containing children with a lady riding a Foo dog like creature to one side and with a lady, possibly a mother or teacher with four children to the opposite side. The scene is painted in colored enamels on a white ground and the pot has a well applied Zhuanshu script seal mark to the base. The pot comes with accompanying wooden stand.
