A very fine antique Chinese Kangxi floral painted blue and white porcelain dish dating between 1661 and 1722. The lightly made dish is of round form with a raised fluted rim and is decorated to the centre with two small birds descending on a flowering shrub emerging from a rocky base. The scene is set within a decorative border of small panels containing flowers below a decorative edge. The dish has painted sprigs to the underside of the rim and has a painted underglaze blue mandala flower mark set within a double circle.
