A very stylish and rare opportunity to acquire this British salt glazed studio pottery leaning Teapot by renowned potter Walter Keeler (British, b.1942) and dating from around 1999. The stoneware teapot has a leaning cylindrical shaped body with a flat round base with a raised high hollow loop handle and round cover which sits within a slightly raised recess and with an unusual stepped ‘bolted on’ pouring spout. The pot has a bit of an ‘industrial’ appearance and is decorated in a greyish blue salt glazed finish. It has the customary circular makers mark applied to one side of the body and incorporated into the design.

Provenance: From the private collection of a gentleman and acquired from The Dayabandhu (Michael Evans) Collection, London and acquired in the British Art Market. Acquired from the City Gallery Leicester in 1999.

In excellent condition.
