The stoneware jug was gifted by Ray Finch to the previous owner on 5th August 1981 and was described as a ‘double cream’ jug and is a wonderful example of his finest work. The stoneware jug is eight sided and of angled square form with narrow panels forming the angled corners. The jug stands on a square shaped base decorated in grey glazes with a wide bulbous body and an angled shoulder and  short straight raised rim with a raised formed spout and with a flat top handle applied to the side. The jug is decorated in metallic glazes over a grey ground running slightly into the body which has a grey glazed finish. The jug is not marked.
