A finely hand-turned Scottish hard wood lidded pot pourri bowl the lid mounted with a polished agate by Ray Brown and probably dating from the late 20th century. The bowl is of round shallow shape with the body made in a wood with a wonderful patterning through-out the body and stands on a narrow shallow foot rim with recessed base. The bowl has an inset ridge into which sits a pierced soft wood domed cover mounted with a polished agate. We believe the cover is much earlier and possibly Chinese and as it fits well and believe it is probably original and possibly the bowl was made to fit the cover. The base is signed and has an original paper label attached.
In good condition with some age wear and loss around the inside rim of the cover.
