A French Terre de faience dish hand decorated with the Quatre Poissons Polychromes (Four Polychrome Fishes) design by Pablo Picasso and created in 1947. The oval shaped dish is made in a white earthenware clay and hand decorated with four fish in underglaze brick red, blue, yellow, pink, green and black within a brick red painted border. The dish is stamped with the 'MADOURA PLEIN FEU' and 'EDITION PICASSO' pottery stamps and is numbered 71 from an edition of 200 and is referenced in Alain Ramié,

In good condition with fine aged surface glaze crazing as is customary on these early examples.
