A stylish raku glazed squat form studio pottery vase by renowned USA potter Norman Bacon and made between the 1970’s and 1990’s. Based in Woodstock, NY, Bacon produced a number of interesting and unique pieces and this delightful vase is a wonderful example of his work. The vase stands raised on a narrow rounded base and is of wide squat flying saucer shape with a narrow slightly raised funnel shaped opening. The earthenware vase is decorated in matte and metallic copper-beaded textured patterning in various colors. The vase is signed Bacon to the base.
