A stunning Danish mid century stoneware resting foal figure by Knud Kyhn (1880-1969) for Royal Copenhagen and designed in 1957. Knud Kyhn was one of Denmark's leading ceramic artists and was renowned as a prominent designer of animal figures. This superb depiction of a foal is finely hand crafted and is decorated in streaked sung glazes in greens and browns. The figure has printed and painted makers marks to the base along with an incised KK monogram for the artist. It is also numbered 21516.
