A stunning and large German midcentury art pottery jug decorated in lava glazes by Dümler & Breiden and dating from circa 1950-1960. The large heavily made jug has a wide squat bulbous shaped body with narrow funnel shaped neck and large opening with a large pouring spout with a wide thick strap handle to the side. The jug is applied with thick matt lava glazes with small crater shaped air pockets decorated in bright red flowed glazes. The jug has impressed makers marks to the base along with number 1107/26.
In excellent condition.
