A very fine quality and stunning Italian Murano ribbon blown art glass vase attributed to Seguso Vetri d’Arte and probably dating from the mid-20th century. The hand-blown vase stands on a narrow solid round pedestal base in clear glass enclosing gold aventrine flakes. The base has a rough broken pontil mark. The body of the vase is blown in clear glass with trailing blue and red ribbon inclusions spiralling around the body from the small narrow raised flower shaped rim. The vase has a post war red foil label attached to the body and is not otherwise marked. There is wear to the base commensurate with a mid-century piece.
Provenance: acquired in the British art market.
In good condition with wear commensurate with age to the base.
