Dimensions:
A large and impressive antique French (or possibly Italian Grand Tour) twin handled bronze tazza or shallow bowl decorated with masks dating from the 19th century. The large rounded tazza stands raised on a central column pedestal base and has a raised rim molded with scrolling fruiting and flowering vines with classical style heads of a man and woman applied in high relief in four places around the outer rim. The base has a linear patterned design with twin prong folded over arrow head shaped handles applied to either side of the bowl. The tazza has a wonderful age patina and is a heavily made piece and not apparently marked.
In good condition with some green verdigris to the inner bowl along with some surface wear from use.
