A stylish Doulton Lambeth art deco abstract floral design bowl by renowned artist William Rowe and dating from around 1920. The stoneware bowl is wide round shape standing on a narrow round salt glazed foot. The body of the bowl is decorated with tube lined stylized flowers and leaves repeated around the body of the bowl. An iconic and well known design by Rowe the bowl is hand decorated in tones of green, blue and red and set against a mottled light ground with similar colored tube lining. The inner bowl is decorated in bright lilac blue glazes and the bowl has impressed Doulton Lambeth marks to the base with incised artist marks and is numbered 8670.

In good original condition with light wear associated with age and use.
