An unusual and scarce English relief molded terracotta wall plaque with the profile of a bearded gentleman by Watcombe Torquay and dating from the 1890’s. The small rounded plaque has a raised molded frame styled rim with a central side profile portrait of a bearded gentleman wearing what appears to be a gown. The figure is well defined with excellent detail. The plaque has a small original attached hanging loop and has a feint printed makers mark to the back.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use with a few very minor chips.
