A very stylish Minton Aesthetic Movement turquoise glazed handled vase dated 1870. The earthenware vase stands on a narrow round foot with a rounded bulbous body and narrow neck with a flared top. A twin open chain style handle is applied to the side and the vase is hand decorated in streaked blue glazes on a turquoise ground. The vase has impressed MINTON marks to the base along with a date mark for 1870.
In good condition with a tiny glaze nick to the top rim and customary fine glaze age crazing.
