A stunning and scarce early Art Deco Hancock & Sons Morrisware hand painted art pottery vase by George Cartlidge dating between 1918 and 1926. This stylish bottle shaped vase stands on a narrow rounded base with a rounded bulbous body and long slender neck. The vase is hand painted with stylised floral blooms in yellow, red and purple with black outlines on a mottled blue ground. The vase has printed makers marks to the base along with a George Cartlidge facsimile signature.
In good condition with light wear commensurate with age.
