A rare and exceptional pair Doulton Lambeth art pottery vases decorated with continuous landscapes with deer by renowned artists Hannah and Florence Barlow and dated 1878. The vases stand on a narrow round pedestal foot with wide round bodies with incised petal and leaf designs around the lower body and around the top rim. Both have a continuous finely incised and highlighted scene of stag and doe deer grazing and resting within a mountainous landscape set between a raised beaded border. The vases are both marked to the bases with Doulton Lambeth marks double struck and with monograms for both Hannah and Florence Barlow assisted by William Baron. Both are also dated 1878.
