A very fine Doulton Lambeth art pottery jug decorated with leaf and floral designs by Kate M Davis and dated 1880. The stoneware jug is of rounded bulbous shape standing on a narrow foot rim with a funnel shaped top and small pouring spout. A loop handle is applied to the opposite side and decorated with small relief flower heads. The body of the vase combines leaf and tassel designs set with relief applied flower heads set between decorative bands and is painted in tones of blue and brown with elements of white. The jug has impressed makers marks to the base along with incised artist initials KD and is dated 1880.
In good condition.
