A stunning Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau handled flask with stylized floral panels dating from around 1905. The stoneware flask is of gourd or pear shape standing on a flat narrow round base with a wide lower body and narrow shaped upper body with a short narrow raised neck applied with two raised rings and with a looped small pouring handle attached to one side. The flask is hand decorated and applied in low relief with four panels with stylized floral designs set with in decorative scroll borders and hand painted in tones of green and blue on a mottled brown ground. These are set against a mottled blue decorated body with a brown glazed top rim. The flask has impressed makers marks along with artist marks we have not been able to identify. The flask is also numbered 8897.

Provenance: acquired in the British art market.
