A large Burmantofts Faience partie-color pottery planter with scrolling floral designs dating from around 1895. The round earthenware planter stands on narrow round foot with a recessed base and has a wide round shape body narrowing slightly to a wide round raised rim. The body of the planter is decorated in a tube-lined style with a mixture of scrolling leaves and flower heads painted in tones of blue, green, brown, turquoise and yellow on a light yellow glazed ground with a dark blue glazed top and foot rim. The planter has various impressed marks and is also marked with the colorway, possibly as a trial piece.

Provenance: from the private collection of a Belgium based Gentleman.
