Originating from a private collection we offer this exceptional and very fine antique early Worcester porcelain saucer dish decorated in blue and white with a large Chrysanthemum flower dating between 1755 and 1760. The lightly made dish is of simple rounded form standing on a narrow round foot and with a raised edge the centre of the dish is painted with a large Chrysanthemum flower head set within a low relief finely embossed busy floral surround containing scrolling leafy stems and large flower heads. A formal blue border is applied around the rim. The dish has an underglaze blue crescent mark to the base along with collector’s paper labels.
In excellent original condition, a very fine example.
