A very large and impressive twin handled studio pottery vase with a streaked and salt glazed finish probably dating from the 20th century. The vase stands on a wide round unglazed foot and is of tall cylindrical shape with horizontal incised linear patterning around the centre of the vase below a wider cut ridge. The vase a wide rounded top lip with pouring spout shapes formed to either side and with two small thick looped handles applied either side of the centre of the vase. The vase is hand decorated in streaked brown and dripped blue glazes on a speckled green stoneware ground with a rich chocolate brown glazed interior and is not apparently marked. With an adhesive green felt protector to the base this is a substantial and impressive display piece.
