A very finely made antique Royal Worcester porcelain candle snuffer modeled as a monk reading a bible and dated 1904. The candle snuffer is portrayed as a monk dressed in monastic robes tied around the waist and holds an open bible in his hands and is probably praying. The monk is decorated in blush ivory and brown matted glazes with gilded highlights to his cord belt, cuffs, collar and around the edge of the bible. The snuffer has a printed puce makers mark to the inside and date code for 1904.
