A fine antique Meissen porcelain blanc de chine figure of a Stallion from the Marcolini period dating between 1774 and 1814. This finely made and large figure of a Stallion stands with its head turned to one side with wonderful natural detail to the face, mane, hooves and tail. The body is also well and naturalistically formed with great muscle definition. The horse is decorated in natural glazes and has an underglaze crossed swords mark with an asterisk mark to the base.

Provenance: Acquired from the British Art Market.

In good presentable condition however has been subject to professional restoration to its legs with some old surface restoration around the makers mark.
