A very fine German porcelain figure of a girl with basket and flowers after a model by JJ Kaendler made by Meissen and believed to date from the early 20th century. This finely made figure stands on a scroll work base applied with flowers and gilded edges and stands bare footed in a skirt and waistcoat over a loosely fitted shirt and carrying a basket containing flowers over her arm with a rose in her hand. The girl wears a wide rimmed bonnet with a ribbon and is beautifully hand painted in naturalistic colors and detail. The figure has an underglaze blue crossed sword mark to the base along with incised and impressed numbers.
In good original condition.
