From a collection of white and blanc de chine figures we are pleased to offer this fine German porcelain figure of a garden bird by renowned maker Meissen and dating from the 20th century. The quality figure is heavily made and from the Meissen Weiss range and portrays a garden bird, probably a starling, perched on a raised large oval stone with grass mounted and raised on a round pedestal base. The figure is exceptionally well detailed and modelled with good facial features with its head held slightly to one side in an alert manner. The figure is made in white porcelain with a natural glazed finish and has impressed and underglaze blue crossed sword marks along with the name Weiss and is numbered K202 and 127T.

The figure is offered in good original condition with minimal age wear. There is a tiny natural glaze rough to the tip of the beak mentioned for absolute accuracy.
