A good quality Leeds Pottery creamware figure group depicting Bacchus holding a cup and a bunch of grapes and standing alongside a wine barrel believed to date from the latter 19th century. The molded figure stands raised on a square shaped base and is well modelled wearing a loin cloth and sash made from grape vines with a fruiting vine is his hair and holding up a large bunch of grapes. Further grapes are scattered around his feet and also on top of the barrel which sits raised on a rock work base. The figure is decorated with a natural salt glazed finish. The base has an unglazed foot and is impressed LEEDS POTTERY to the inside edge.

In good condition with fine age crazing to the glazed finish.
