A stunning Royal Worcester porcelain cabinet plate hand painted with a scene titled Castle of Doune by James Stinton and dated 1933. The plate has a central scene of the castle set in a landscape within a decorative border with small floral vignettes hand painted around the edge and set within a blue ground with finely gilded decoration, the shaped rim with a gilded finish. The plate is signed J Stinton within the painted scene and bears the title 'Castle of Doune' painted to the base with puce printed Royal Worcester mark including a date code mark for 1933.
In good condition with surface age glaze crazing.
