A stylish and finely made studio pottery jug and vase decorated in trailed glazes by Elizabeth L Anderson and made at the Harbour Pottery at South Quay Studios in Maryport, Cumbria and dating from the 20th Century. Both are of round bulbous shape standing on narrow flat unglazed bases and with pinched necks and folded back rims, the jug with a large formed pouring spout. The jug has a looped handle with a raised ridge where it has been attached to the body and both vessels are decorated in matching red and brown glazes over a mottled grey glazed ground with abstract streaked and trailed black glazed designs applied to the bodies. Both have incised ELA monograms to the base and the jug also retains an original paper label. The vase measures 11cm in height and 12cm in diameter with the dimensions for the jug included in the listing.
