A good Delft blue and white pottery apothecary jar marked CONF.HIACINTOR and dating from around 1750. The jar, of cylindrical form stands on a rounded pedestal foot with a pinched top rim and slightly flared top. The jar is hand decorated with a blue and white banner to the body with a head, birds, floral designs and other stylized designs with a decorative border around the name CONF.HIACINTOR possibly an extract from Hyacinth flowers. The jar is not otherwise marked but believed to be Dutch or possibly French.
In typical period condition with glaze fritting around the top and foot rim.
