A large and impressive Midcentury West German tall abstract floral design art pottery vase by renowned makers Carstens Tönnieshof (1946-1977) and probably dating from around 1960. The tall rectangular vase is decorated to two sides with stylized floral designs with relief molded tall stems with bubble shaped flowers. The vase has a textured matt finish with contrasting brown glazed raised elements set against a lighter ground. The tall vase has a narrow raised rectangular rim with a wide rounded edge. The vase has molded makers marks to the base and is numbered 7801-40.
