An absolutely stunning Portuguese art deco style bronze sculpture of a resting panther on a black and white marble base by Miguel Fernando Lopez (Milo) and dating from the 20th century. The sculpture portrays a panther lying perched on a raised white block of marble decorated with black marble panels, the panther with his right paw hanging and his tail extended off the back of the block. He is extremely well modeled and has a wonderful patina and is signed Milo to his hind quarter. A wonderful display piece however very heavy.
In good condition with light wear from age and use.
