A beautiful Art Deco pottery sculpture of a mother and child by Christine Gregory (British, 1879-1965) dated 1933. This very tender and well observed portrayal shows the mother holding the child wrapped in her arms and held cheek to cheek her flowing body forming part of the base. The figure is decorated in finely speckled grey glazes and has an unglazed base. The figure has an incised signature mark to the base and is also dated 1933.
